Did you see the animals in the display window during May? Or how about the sculptures in April? This month come check out sets of dishes our members created to use in their homes. They are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe.

Each month pottery club features a theme, showing the versatility of its members.

With three new members who joined in May, we expect even more new ideas to show up in the window. Pottery Club is a place to come where no one will reprimand you for not dressing up, not complain that you’ve made a mess, or judge you for having mud on your cheek. We embrace the unusual and are in awe of the classic. Everyone has the opportunity to find his/her style while playing in the clay.

The quote, “Keep calm and throw stuff,” easily describes our club’s attitude toward creating. However, what sums up the lesson many members learn over a period of time is, “Every time I thought I was being rejected from something good, I was being re-directed to something better.” (Dr. Steve Maraboli, founder of A Better Today International) For many, that “better” turns out to be pottery.
