For a number of years, Robson’s Material Girls Club has been creating and donating quilts for America’s wounded warriors. Last year we donated 12 quilts, and this year we plan to donate 12 more. We create the quilt tops and send them off to American Hero Quilts, and they sandwich the top, batting, and backing, then quilt and bind each one. They are then sent to Sue, who has headed this project for 20 years, and she sends the quilts overseas to wounded service members, fort medical centers, rehab facilities, and specialized burn units in the U.S.
At our last meeting, Kathy Davis talked about the quilts we will be making this year and put together a sample quilt block along with Debi Davis.
