On June 22, 20 Rockin’ Reds gathered in the cozy, intimate setting of Theater Coppell, nestled within the state-of-the-art Coppell Arts Center in Old Town Coppell. The venue also features a lobby gallery showcasing vibrant works by local artists. Inside, the buzz of anticipation filled the air as the ladies took their seats for the matinee performance of Annie. Hostesses Margot Kalina, Stephanie Miyake, and Jennifer Rahn purchased the tickets on the very first day they became available, knowing how important it was to bring the group together for an enjoyable day out.
The small stage of Theater Coppell offered an up-close, personal connection with the beloved musical, allowing the audience to truly engage with the performances of Annie and her ragtag group of friends. Familiar songs like “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard Knock Life” filled the air. The music reminded them, just as the musical’s message does, that “the sun will come out tomorrow”—a promise of brighter days ahead. The afternoon became more than just a show. It was a celebration of friendship and the simple joy of sharing live theater together.
