Baby Boomers Holiday Progressive

Susan Parker

On Dec. 14, 140 Baby Boomers made their way to five homes for appetizers and another five homes for desserts.

The appetizer hosts were Mary and Chuck Doll, Marsha and Terry Scholze, Laura and Scott Ford, Lesa and Rick Carpenter, and Shari and Dan Patrick. These five homes served up meatballs, shrimp, veggie platter with dip and hummus, sausage cheese dip, antipasto platter, sliders, tortellini caprese, and Christmas rollups. Pretty sure no one went on to the dessert homes hungry.

The dessert hosts were Cindy and Charlie Warner, Delta and Wayne Skaggs, Karen and Richard Hagemeier, Mark and Sylvia Boles, and Susan and Barry Joyce. The desserts were pumpkin pie with whipped cream, mini cheesecakes, cookies, and decorated chocolate cake balls.

This year we had several elves who helped to prepare some of the appetizers. These little elves were Penny Trott, Pam Wolf, Kathy Cooper, Linda Westin, and Barb Hedges. We could not have this wonderful event without the many volunteers.

Of course, the party doesn’t end until we all go socialize at the Wildhorse Grill. Many Boomers participated in a nightcap before going home. A booming good time was had by all!
