Join Women Sharing Hope on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the Robson Ranch clubhouse for our program “Beyond a ‘Senior Moment’: Recognizing Early Signs of Dementia and Alzheimer’s—and Getting Help When It’s Needed.”
We all experience occasional “senior moments”—that brief lapse when we forget a name, misplace our keys, or draw a blank on a familiar word. But for many, these moments begin to happen more frequently, sparking concerns: Could this be more than aging? Could it be the start of something more serious, like dementia or Alzheimer’s disease?
This program is designed to help you answer these questions by learning to recognize the early signs of these challenging conditions. Whether you’re concerned for yourself, a partner, or a friend, understanding what’s normal and what’s not can empower you to act early. Early intervention is key, both in terms of medical support and community resources that can make a world of difference in quality of life.
Our program will feature a panel of caregivers who will share proven methods and systems that have helped them care for their loved ones. From practical tips for daily routines to emotional strategies for preserving dignity, they’ll discuss real-world solutions to help navigate the journey of caregiving.
Additionally, you’ll hear from someone who was recently diagnosed with dementia. She’ll share how she’s working to delay the progression of symptoms, offering insight into her proactive approach and daily strategies for maximizing quality of life. Her caregiver will join her to discuss his experience, offering a compassionate perspective on coping and caregiving.
This program is more than just information. Women Sharing Hope has a support network for our community with their Robson Angels, I’ve Got a Friend, Hold My Hand, and Meal Train ministries.
Women Sharing Hope exists to develop friendships, grow in faith, and share God’s love. We meet the first Friday of each month in the Robson Ranch clubhouse.
