In September the Kiwanis Club sponsored Denton’s Magical Night of Hope here at Robson Ranch, a fundraiser for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. One of the donated silent auction items was dinner for eight prepared by Chef Forest Bell and served in his home. Chef Bell and his wife Karen moved to Robson Ranch last year after his retirement as Executive Chef at the Congressional Country Club in Washington D.C., a position where he prepared meals for many U.S. Presidents during his 34 year career there.
We decided to bid as a group and were fortunate enough to win the dinner with the highest bid. In November we were treated to an amazing evening of true culinary perfection that included a selection of delicious hors d’oeuvres followed by a spectacular five course meal in Chef Bell and Karen’s beautiful home. Thank you, Chef Bell, for donating this extraordinary evening to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. It was an experience that none of us will ever forget.
