Chippengals is a Ladies 9 Hole Walking Group at Robson Ranch, not affiliated with the RRWGA. Play days are every Thursday between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. depending on tee time availability, from April 1 through the first week in October. Each play day is limited to the first 12 members, three foursomes, who sign up by Friday for the following Thursday.

Your 9-hole score does not matter; members play their own ball and earn positive and negative chips while playing. The lady with the most positive chip points at the end of 9 holes wins the round. For example, if a player hits a ball in the sand, she receives a negative sand chip. But if another member of her foursome goes into a sand trap, the sand chip goes to her. If a player scores a birdie, she earns a positive chip, but if another player in her foursome gets a birdie, the birdie chip goes to her. Like life, the strategy is to keep the positive and get rid of the negative. After each round members meet for scoring, cocktails and light refreshments.

Membership is free. Simply send an email with your first and last name and phone number to: [email protected]. New members receive a pamphlet with full details and rules as well as an official Chippengals bag tag. At the end of the season, Chippengals have a wine and cheese awards ceremony, with prizes for the most rounds played, most birdie chips, the longest drive chip, etc. For the awards ceremony each player pays a yearly fee of $5 of which 100% of the proceeds are applied to the awards. So get a pull or push cart and join the fun!

Note: though we are primarily a walking group, carts are allowed for those wanting to play but physically are unable to walk nine holes.
