The women of Fellowship At The Ranch Church celebrated the Christmas holidays with an afternoon Tea at a home in Robson Ranch. The celebration opened with prayer, then the ladies helped themselves to a selection of teas and goodies. As plates were filled, the house echoed with the happy sounds of conversation. While sitting and eating in small groups, each lady shared her favorite Christmas song and why the song was special to her. Some even played the song on their phones. Conversation topics moved to sharing upcoming Christmas plans, family updates, and much more.
Staci Schmidt, chief operations officer, and Nancy Wright, Women’s Home director, from Denton Freedom House were the featured guests. They shared information about the program which provides care and support to women as they work to take back control of their lives. It was amazing and yet sad at the same time to learn about the need of this program and the positive impact it is having on the lives of women they help. They also shared about upcoming new programs and the agency’s needs.
As is our holiday tradition, the ladies brought gifts for Denton Freedom House’s Women’s Home, this year’s chosen charity. It is one of the 11 ministries Fellowship At The Ranch Church supports. The Women’s House is in need of commercial washers and dryers. It was heartwarming to see the checks and cash fill the holiday collection bag. The Tea raised $900 towards the appliances. The Christmas spirit of giving was evident this afternoon.
As the afternoon drew to a close, there were hugs, goodbyes, and “See you in church on Sunday.”
The women’s Christmas party is just one of many activities and events hosted by Fellowship At The Ranch Church. We invite you to attend our Worship Service in the Robson Ranch clubhouse on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. For more information about the church, please visit our website at www.FellowshipAtTheRanchChurch.com.
