The Red, White & Bloom Spring Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, March 31, with doors opening at 11:15 a.m. at the RR clubhouse. The event is hosted by the Conservative Women of Action, and the luncheon price is $25 per person. Tickets will be available for purchase in the clubhouse from 9 to 11 a.m. on March 9, 11, 16, 18, and 23. Checks may also be left at the home of Jeanette Bliss, 12104 Willet Way. The featured speaker for the event will be Shelley Luther.

Shelley Luther is a local small-business owner, former school teacher, and outspoken advocate for individual liberty and free enterprise. She gained national attention in 2020 when she chose to reopen her Dallas-area salon in defiance of COVID-19 shutdown orders, a decision that led to her brief jailing and sparked widespread debate about government authority and economic freedom.

Following her activism, Shelley entered public service and was elected to the Texas State House where she has focused on issues such as small-business rights, parental choice in education, and limited government. She is currently seeking reelection and continues to speak across Texas about civic engagement, leadership, and standing firm in one’s convictions.
