On April 1 Conservative Women of Action (CWA) welcomed guest speaker Brett Rogers for an energizing and informative seminar focused on how to get conservative candidates elected. Rogers brought fresh ideas and practical steps for running successful political campaigns, with one message made clear: “The Goal Is to Win.” He emphasized the importance of preparation, authenticity, and disciplined communication.
“If what we’re doing isn’t working, we need to find what does. We’re in a war, but we fight with ballots, not bullets,” Rogers said, urging attendees to mobilize friends, neighbors, and networks to turn out at the polls. Unity and persistence are key: “The side that wins is the side that doesn’t give up.”
Rogers reminded the group that campaigns are won with reputation, words, and visibility. Silence has no place in politics. “Every time we speak, we create ripples,” he said. Start by reaching out within your groups and circles, then expand outward.
Campaign Tips and GOTV
• Don’t announce your candidacy until you’re ready for the tough questions;
• Speak truthfully and clearly;
• Focus on voters’ stories, not your own;
• Remember: Offense wins. Define yourself before your opponent does; and
• Always Get Out The Volunteers (GOTV)!
Final Takeaway:
Be disciplined. Be authentic. Be bold. Winning takes preparation, connection, and action.
