The Robson Ranch Republican Club has been preparing its members for Precinct, Senatorial, and the State Conventions. Depending on the year, convention season runs from March through May, or even August. This year it will end with the Republican National Convention in mid-July.
Republicans had over 40 people show up for Precinct Conventions just at the Ranch. For perspective, Precinct Conventions typically only have between two to seven people attend. Two weeks later, the Senatorial District Convention took place in Argyle, and we had more than 20 people representing Robson Ranch there. At the end of May we will have about 15 people from Robson going to the Republican State Convention. This is great, as these folks will help craft the platform and select who will be attending the National Convention in July.
Many people don’t realize that the State Republican Convention in Texas is actually larger than the National Convention! There will be more delegates to the Texas State Convention than for the National Convention.
The conventions can be fun—especially the State and National Conventions. We appreciate all those folks who have gone to the conventions this year and for those heading to San Antonio at the end of May.
