Shades of purple, green and gold, tons of beads, mouth-watering King cake, parades and parties—there’s just nothing like Mardi Gras in Shreveport! The city kicks off the celebration with the enormous Krewe of Centaur Parade. One of the largest parades in Louisiana, the Krewe of Centaur rolls 10 days before Fat Tuesday, featuring marching bands, brightly colored floats, performers and more.
Road Runners will attend the exclusive float loading party and reception of the Krewe of Centaur. The party features live bands, Creole and Cajun food, dancing, sign making and other hands-on experiences. You’ll be sure to yell to the Mardi Gras royalty, “Throw me something, mister,” as you view the parade up-close and personal. It’s a guarantee no one will leave empty handed.
Along with the big parade, try your luck at Sam’s Town Hotel and Casino, visit the Mardi Gras Museum, view exhibits at the RW Norton Art Gallery and Gardens, tour the Stage of Stars and Legends Museum, sample King cake at Julie Ann’s Bakery and feast on traditional Cajun foods.
Get ready to let the good times roll for a Carnival season you’ll never forget. Tour includes hotel, four meals, admissions to events, deluxe motor coach transportation and water and snacks on the bus. For additional information visit our website at www.rrrrclub.com.
