It’s “TGIF” night, and the Democratic Club is feeling all right.

Remember back when life was a constant hustle bustle? When we were establishing a home, raising a family, and building a career? We couldn’t wait for the weekend to arrive when we could step back and relax a bit. Today our lives haven’t slowed down much. Between the monthly meetings, canvassing voters, researching the issues, and campaigning for candidates, members of the Democratic Club find we’re on the go, go, go.
But it’s not all work and no play. Pushing the pause button, it’s “TGIF” when Democratic Club members gather in the clubhouse lounge, sit back, and enjoy one another’s company. No club business. No politicking. Just time to reconnect with friends and fellow members. Sharing conversations and laughs over drinks, pizza, and wings—what could be better?
Soon, the Democratic Club will be kicking into high gear with the mid-term elections on the horizon. But we always find time to unwind with our “TGIF” social gatherings—Thank Goodness It’s Friday. Or it could even be a Thursday, or Wednesday, or … .
See you at the next social. And don’t forget to join us on the first Thursday of the month in the clubhouse at 6 p.m. (social hour begins at 5:30 p.m.). Providing a platform for fellowship with like-minded individuals, we learn about important local, state, and national issues; help support and elect candidates; or volunteer for voter registration drives. But, most importantly, we contribute to the overall goal of empowering the Democratic party in Denton County fighting for our core shared values, such as representative democracy and equality.
