Carol Collins, WFCP, Expert
When you are looking for truly custom blinds, shades, shutters and draperies, start by learning some key details about custom window treatments.
As a Hunter Douglas Gallery Centurion dealer, we at Carol’s will listen to you and your needs and address them with the knowledge of our products so that we can suggest those that fill your specific needs. By asking you questions we can determine what is important to you, whether it be light diffusion, variable light control, energy efficiency, child protection, etc. As an exclusive Hunter Douglas dealer we can offer products not available to most dealers.
When it comes to custom draperies we are sticklers to detail in all our drapery work from design to workroom standards to installation. Here are some of the details we look for during fabrication and upon completion.
All fabrics are inspected for flaws.
As the fabric goes to the workroom and the project begins, our workroom makes sure there are no loose threads or unfinished seams.
Top stitching is pucker-free.
All seams are straight without any puckering.
All seams are hidden where possible.
Prints are matched at all visible seams and from treatment to treatment in the same room.
Pattern repeats are centered and the same in all sections of the same treatment.
All stripes and/or plaids are straight and matched.
Drapery fullness is always at the maximum.
All hems are double turned and never pillowcased.
For a full explanation of our standards please give us the opportunity to help you select a truly custom window covering. It’s all in the details.
We also invite you to visit our showroom on the historic downtown Denton Square to experience the world of custom window coverings. We have Hunter Douglas products on display in window settings so that you can see, feel and operate the products before you commit to purchase. And we have custom drapery displays for you to see.
We are here to help you with all of your decorating needs. We have all you need in window fashions and decorating ideas for your home.
And as always – Happy Decorating!
