There is nothing more elegant than a white and silver tablescape that will complement any color scheme. For Thanksgiving add real pinecones and chestnuts to a white pumpkin centerpiece. Adding a few fall colored leaves won’t spoil your theme. They just add that speck of color and spark.
An easy transition into Christmas without a lot of change would be to take your pinecones and spray paint them silver. Remove the fall colored leaves and replace them with red holly berries for a pop of Christmas color. Take away the white pumpkins and replace them with white candles arranged on vintage silver candlesticks and holders.
Gold can also be substituted for the silver if that is your preference.
Do you prefer your tables a bit more colorful? Then here are a couple of suggestions.
For Thanksgiving arrange pumpkin colored, scented candles to your centerpiece of yellow mums, orange lilies, pinecones, pumpkins and leaves of all the fall colors. A mixture of green, orange and yellow placemats and napkins makes for a very festive table.
As it’s time to move into Christmas mode for your table, add red and green candles arranged in clear, berry-filled glass hurricanes with tinsel and garland galore. For your place settings arrange white china seated atop red and/or green chargers. Corresponding napkins decoratively folded on the white china add the crowning touch.
