The weather was nearly perfect for the October Community Garage Sale sponsored by the After Schoolers Club. Once again the Robson community came out with enthusiasm to support their friends and neighbors! Thanks, Robson Ranch, for once again showing why we love our community!
At 6:00 a.m. when flashlights and headlights were needed to see, the After Schoolers members descended on the clubhouse parking lot to set up tables, to get the coffee brewing, to unload their cars with items donated to the organization and to display the many donated items for the sale.
A heartfelt “thank you!” to everyone who helped make the fall 2017 Community Garage Sale successful, including the Robson Ranch community and surrounding areas giving support to this worthy cause. A special thank you to The Conley/Cook Crew who so willingly picked up larger donated items and transported them to the sale. Thanks, men! Thanks to the Robson residents who participated in the sale by setting up their own spaces and to those many, many residents who donated items to the After Schoolers to sell. Thanks also to the auxiliary staff at the clubhouse for their help. The After Schoolers appreciate all of you!
Proceeds from the sale go to support the teachers and professional staff members at our two “adopted” schools in the Denton Independent School District: Borman Elementary School and LaGrone Advance Technology Complex. Last year, because of the support given by the Robson Community, we were able to purchase a much needed binding machine and additional die cuts for one school and a some furniture for the faculty lounge for the other. Both gifts were greatly appreciated!
