On Monday, Feb. 17, the Robson Ranch Garden Club welcomed Mr. Claud Singer, a long time Denton County Master Gardener, as their guest speaker. Mr. Singer presented a very informative slide presentation on Hanging/Vertical Gardens. He reminded the group that we, humans, have a symbiotic relationship with plants, as the plants give off oxygen and humans give off carbon dioxide. When selecting plants for a vertical garden use plants of similar needs…the same soil, sunlight, and water.
On March 16, the RR Garden Club will meet in the Lone Star Room of the Clubhouse for a plant exchange. All members are invited, even if they do not have plants to share. We have many already donated and we want everyone to be able to receive the bounty from the gardeners. In February, one member brought three pots of Sedum to share with members. By attending the meeting, you will receive and learn how to grow new plants for your beds.
