Don Pooley
The Robson Ranch Table Tennis Club is happy to sponsor a free Table Tennis class for Robson Ranch residents that starts on Dec. 7. The class can either be used as an introduction for new players to table tennis, or as a refresher for those residents that have played table tennis before. The class sessions will be instructed by Tom Taylor, a certified table tennis coach from the Farmers Branch Table Tennis Club. The class sessions will be from 12:10 to 1:10 p.m. and from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. and will occur on two consecutive Mondays, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14, in the Sports Center’s multipurpose room. Each two-week class session is limited to eight students.
Tom’s focus for this table tennis class is:
1. Overview and Benefits of Table Tennis Play
2. Forehand/Backhand strokes
3. Doubles play and teamwork
4. Developing a workout for you and your skill level
Class sessions will conform to Robson Ranch and CDC’s sanitizing and social distancing guidelines. All class session participants are encouraged to practice good hand sanitizing habits, to maintain social distancing, and limit direct contact with other players. Face coverings are required to enter the Sports Center, but are not required during class sessions.
If you wish to take the class, you must sign up with Don Pooley at [email protected] before Dec. 2. Make sure and specify which session you would like to attend.
If you have any questions, you may contact Don Pooley at 407-257-4321.
