A fresh, new website is now up and running for the RR Democratic Club that is only a month old. This quick action was due to the computer savvy of Kara Engstrom.
The new website is active and available to all. There you can find links to quality news sources, notices of upcoming events, contact information on elected officials, minutes of meetings, voting guides and an opportunity to submit your thoughts and ideas to the club. The site was designed so we can stay more closely connected to each other and forthcoming activities. Kara Engstrom, its designer, is studying Cyber Security at North Central Texas College and has been politically active for several years. She brings organizational expertise to our club.
The RRDC was revitalized by a group of concerned citizens at Robson Ranch who focus on the principles of democratic ideas and who are eager to participate in local, state and national government. We had our first meeting March 28 with 50 people attending.
On the website you can learn more about forthcoming guest speakers, going to marches, visiting town halls, discussing ideas and socializing. We meet on the third Thursday of each month (except for May when we will meet on May 25), 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Clubhouse.
