The month of May in Texas has been referred to as a “rainy month,” usually seeing frequent tornadoes, but it’s also a beautiful month celebrating mothers. So, men, it’s your time to shine! Step up with a heartwarming card, flowers, chocolates, and a special trip that’s on her bucket list.

Here at Robson Ranch, activities are in full swing. Many of our amenities have been refreshed or updated, especially around the pool area (thank you, HOA). So, let’s get out there!

Residents, especially new residents, will be actively seeking to join activities, committees, and clubs within our welcoming community. Many of the neighborhoods enjoy driveway gatherings and street parties, a fun way to communicate and connect with each neighbor. These caring groups also rise to the occasion whenever necessary with a morning phone call to those who may live alone or a round of comfort food for those who may have had a recent surgery or illness. Robson residents are the most caring and loving group of people you’ll ever know. Welcome, new residents!

Our dedicated vendors can finally leave their hoodies and coats at home, ready to provide us with their tasty and nourishing products under warmer conditions. They are in our parking lot from 8 to 11 a.m. every Friday. You can also peruse our website, rrlwc.com to view their offerings, as well as order in advance.

We had a full house for surgeon Dr. David Shau’s presentation on May 4. This time, he spoke of the things that could go wrong during hip or knee surgery and suggested that you vet your surgeon regarding his background, education, accomplishments, and procedure before having surgery. Dr. Shau performs surgeries at the Clearfork Southwest Fort Worth Hospital. If you missed his presentation, you could view the video on our website, rrlwc.com.

We hope you acquired valuable information from the health care providers and event on March 25. Thank you, Shelbi Berg, HOA activities director, for your excellent job of organizing the event.

Another well attended presentation was on April 20, when Doni Green of North Texas Council of Governments spoke on Senior Care.

Our Living Well members Gil and Fred lead a three-mile walk on the last Saturday of every month. We hope you’ll join them. They meet at the clubhouse at 8 a.m.

Coming up:

On May 4 at 1 p.m., Vickey Whitington from Heaven at Home Senior Care will present information on the home care services they provide.

On May 18 at 1 p.m., Dr. Anthony Rios will speak on the importance of Vascular Health and Wellness.

The Robson Ranch annual Olympics planning is underway. Mark your calendars for a busy September. This year, some of the events will be spread out within two weeks prior to the closing date and lunch of Sept. 30. Get ready to compete!

On Sept. 21 Brad Lahart, Battalion Chief with DCFD, will offer a CPR/AED class at 10:30 a.m. at the clubhouse. More on that later.

On Sept. 23 the Robson Ranch Cancer Group will sponsor their second annual Cancer Walk here at the Ranch to benefit our local Texas Oncology Foundation. The walk will begin at 9 a.m., with a $25 donation. Cookies and coffee will be provided by Robson Ranch after the walk. For more information, contact Nancy at [email protected].

It’s not too early to mark your calendar for the fabulous Robson Ranch 4th of July Parade extravaganza! Plan your day with family and friends to participate in or merely be one of the thousands of Robson Ranch spectators along Robson Ranch Blvd. It’s a spectacular event!

All our information is available on our fabulous website, rrlwc.com.

Happy Mother’s Day, Ladies!
