Commissioner Dianne Edmondson
Pre-installation work on the Cleveland Gibbs/Robson Ranch entrance signal light began the end of July. Following a year of advocacy, I was delighted finally to get the go-ahead. Thanks to all of you who stood by me as I continued to deal with this critical issue! Finally, the light itself was designed and installed during the warm summer months, and, hopefully, by the time you read this, the traffic signal will be up and flashing! When the signal light funding became an issue, I am proud that the County stepped up and provided funds for the signal. And I appreciate the assistance from Northlake and Denton in making this safety feature a reality.
The signal light definitely will take some getting used to, as it improves the west/east traffic clog which often presents challenges to those of us exiting the Ranch from any of its entrances.
I’m told that it will have a pedestrian button, similar to those on the Denton Square. However, golf carts will remain a “no-no” on Cleveland Gibbs or Robson Ranch Road under state law.
But let’s all remember to continue to use caution as we leave the Ranch, and if we have an official Ribbon Cutting, you are invited!
P.S.: You are invited right now to our next transportation update in October, right here at the Ranch. Full details will be available soon!
