Typically in Texas, the month of May is the rainy season, but this year it will need to rain a significant amount to beat April’s rain levels. Our community looks beautiful with the green grass and trees, as well as the beautiful landscaping in every yard. Speaking of beautiful, men, don’t forget to celebrate your moms and wives this month. Step up with a special card, flowers, chocolates, or a day spent celebrating her.
We had a nice number of residents, their families, and pets come out on March 30 for the Easter Walk hosted by your Living Well Committee. Be sure to mark your calendar for the upcoming Memorial Day Walk.
We had a full house for the presentation by Godwin Dixon on April 4 in the clubhouse. He provided information on how to reduce your risk of developing Major Neurocognitive Disorder (MND), which is a new term for dementia. Godwin is co-owner of Teresa’s House, an assisted living and memory care facility in Argyle.
We hope you can join us on Wednesday, May 15, for the presentation by Denton Fire Department Battalion Chief Bradley Lahart and his staff. They will be demonstrating lifesaving skills for everyone with CPR and AED training. This presentation will be limited to the first 30 residents to RSVP. More information will be coming, so watch for it!
If one of your New Year’s resolutions was to start a healthy habit, it is not too late. Every Wednesday in the Pinnacle Fitness Center there will be someone there between 9 and 10 a.m. to check your blood pressure.
The Robson Ranch annual Olympics planning is underway. Mark your calendars for a busy October. This year some of the events will be spread out within two weeks prior to the closing date and luncheon on Nov. 2. Get ready to compete!
