Spring has not yet sprung, but we are being blessed with some much better weather than what we experienced the first of the year. I hope you are finding time to enjoy these warmer days doing whatever you like to do outdoors. I’ve been cleaning up my landscaping to help it grow and flourish. If you like growing things, we have 142 box gardens available for residents to use at the Community Garden near the Michelle Way gate. Some boxes may still be available, and the middle of February is a perfect time to plant onions and potatoes. If you would like your own garden, just contact Linda Caron at the HOA office by email at [email protected] or by phone at 940-246-1029.
If you prefer for someone else to do the growing, raising, or baking, be sure to stop by the Farmers Market every Friday morning from 8 to 11 a.m. Our friendly vendors would love to have you stop by!
Our monthly presentations continue to be a huge success, with a talk by Attorney Travis Weaver on Jan. 23 to a packed room of residents. Attorney Weaver answered questions about wills, trusts, and power of attorney, as well as other legal issues. If you were unable to attend, you may watch a video of the presentation on our website at www.rrlwc.weebly.com.
On Feb. 6 we hosted Dr. Usman Asad who presented information on surgical versus non-surgical options for skin cancers. On March 6 at 1 p.m. Dana Long with Medical City Health of Denton will be speaking on Healthy Aging and Nutrition. On March 1, plan to attend the Robson Ranch Clubs and Activities Open House from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Representatives from your Living Well Committee will be there to provide information on everything we do to improve the health of all residents.
The Robson Ranch annual Health Fair will be held at the clubhouse on Saturday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come get your health questions answered or find that medical professional you might have been looking for.
Don’t forget to spring forward on Sunday, March 9, when Daylight Saving Time begins. Maybe this will be the last year we change our clocks.
