Dec. 15 found 45 Robson Ranch Garden Club members celebrating with lunch at the clubhouse. Members enjoyed loaded baked potatoes, beverages, salad, and lots of Christmas candy on the tables for dessert.
We played a holiday version of bingo, and the winners received large poinsettia plants. One guest at each table also received a plant.
Come to our January meeting and be in a winter frame of mind! Our meeting on Jan. 19 at 10:30 a.m. will feature a speaker from the Denton Master Gardeners who will discuss care and winterizing of rose bushes. The speaker will also discuss other ways to both prepare and enjoy our gardens during the cold months.
We meet on the third Monday of the month from September through May. In the coming months, we will have a speaker in February discussing the advantages of using rain barrels, in March we will have our annual plant exchange, in April we will have a field trip to a nearby garden wonder in Argyle, and in May we will have our annual Home Garden Tour.
Please save your egg cartons, plastic clam shell containers, and berry produce baskets and bring them to our monthly meetings. We will deliver them to Shiloh Field to help with their dispensing of produce to food pantries and kitchens in the Denton area.
