Women Sharing Hope is excited to welcome Ms. Vickie, a nationally touring clean Christian comedian who has been making audiences laugh for more than 25 years. With her quick wit, heartfelt stories, and faith-filled perspective, Ms. Vickie proves that “laughter is good medicine” and that idea comes straight from Proverbs 17:22: “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” Ms. Vickie brings that verse to life every time she steps on stage.
Her journey into comedy began unexpectedly in Kansas City when, on a dare, she stepped onto a nightclub stage and had the crowd roaring for 45 minutes—ending with a standing ovation. That moment launched a career that has taken her across the country, even through life’s toughest challenges. From moving across states, facing personal struggles, and even enduring homelessness at times, Ms. Vickie never gave up on her calling to bring joy to others.
Over the years, she’s performed on BET’s ComicView, HBO, ABC, The Word Network, and was named one of Nick at Nite’s Top 20 Funniest Moms in America. She’s been featured at top comedy clubs in New York and California and toured with the LOL Clean Comedy Tour, among others. Yet her greatest joy comes from sharing her comedy ministry in churches and faith-based events where she delivers hope through humor.
Ms. Vickie’s comedy has been inspired by legendary mentors such as Lucille Ball, the cast of WKRP in Cincinnati, and Bill Cosby. Off stage, she’s the proud mother of five adult children.
