As always, welcoming new members to “play in the mud” is a pleasure. April’s class was no exception. Trinka Taylor, Charlie Cotner, Kathie Dial and Janet Bush participated in four days of orientation along with plenty of hands-on experience. Marilyn Zastrow was a tremendous help in guiding the group toward success. Now they have moved on to creating their own pieces with other experienced members available to advise them if they need help. Look in our display window and you will see their first glazed items. What talent!
Sculptors Eve Draper, Liz Katz and Judie Smothers are also producing some intriguing shapes, each one showing her unique style.
Members who attended the recent workshop on under glazing, printing on clay and sgrafitto have some of their pieces for sale in the window. If you see something you’d like to purchase, come in and ask. You don’t have to wait until the Craft Bazaar to buy a gift or add to your collection!
