We were wearing shorts and short-sleeve shirts over the holidays, and we are wearing parkas, gloves, and hats in January. Welcome to Texas!
We had a good planning meeting in January, setting up activities for the next several months. On Feb. 1 we hosted Kim Kamen, COO of The American Middle East Press Association (AMEPA). She explained the purpose of the organization and how it conveys the ongoing happenings in the region.
The club will have our next social on Tuesday, Feb. 17. We can chat, nosh, and get to know each other a little better. We hope to make this a regular occurrence.
Also on the horizon is a presentation by Dr. Kerry Goldmann of the University of North Texas. She will talk about “Jewish Identity in the Movies.” Her previous presentation was very well received, and we look forward to more of her research and insights.
JFG (Jewish Friendship Group) is a social group that generally meets on the second Sunday of the month and for other events and special occasions. Contact us for more information:
