The Robson Ranch Photo Club held its general session meeting on July 21 in the Creative Arts and Technology Center at 7 p.m. The main program was a presentation by club member Dick Remski who discussed methods to restore vintage and damaged family photographs. Today’s processing software does a magnificent job of recovery to make these cherished photographs much more usable. Dick talked about how to retrieve scanned files of old prints, as well as how to triage the images and select those that will make wonderful new prints for our family histories.

Club member Steve Simpson presented some of his wonderful photographs recently taken during the Robson Ranch 4th of July Parade. Steve did an excellent job in capturing the excitement of the parade shared by both the participants and the viewing audience.

We also reviewed results from individual club member entries for the June “Fences” image contest. The viewing of the individual entry photographs is always an exciting part of the meeting. Current images winning first place awards are displayed in the Photo Club’s showcase in the Creative Arts and Technology Center hallway. Robson Ranch residents are encouraged to stop by and view firsthand the excellent photographic talent of your fellow Robson Ranch neighbors.
