The Robson Ranch Photo Club held its general session meeting on June 16 in the Creative Arts and Technology Center. The main program was a presentation by Janice Goetz from the Plano Photography Club. Janice is an accomplished photographer and most recently received the Plano Camera Club’s first-place End-of-the-Year competition award in the highest Master level. Her presentation was “My Journey Inside and Around Our Nation’s State Parks.” She presented images showing the beauty and diversity of many of these parks.

We also reviewed individual member entries for the May image contest, which is always an exciting part of the meeting. Images winning first place awards are currently displayed in the Photo Club’s showcase in the Creative Arts and Technology Center hallway. Robson Ranch residents are encouraged to stop by and view the excellent work of your fellow neighbors.

Club member Barbara Finney discussed the purpose and history of Fossil Rim Wildlife Center near Glen Rose, Texas. This Center is a not-for-profit area specializing in captive breeding programs for indigenous and exotic endangered and threatened species. Barbara then showed numerous photographs she took during a recent visit to the Center.
