Sassy Stampers’ monthly business meeting and card making day was held on May 18 with the tables filled with teachers, Stampers, and the tools of the trade, and all were ready to let creativity come out to play.
This month’s project lead was April Bayne, and she brought to us the Memo Board card. This card just exudes cuteness and endless possibilities. The card had us working with products we don’t normally use, such as foam strips and cork pieces, and the table teachers helped guide us to make successful cards.
Every month a Stamper will sign up to be a project lead, which entails coming up with a card to share with the club. It is the responsibility of the project lead to prepare all the supplies that are put in a kit to be given to the Stampers on the third Saturday of every month. Expenses involved in buying the supplies are reimbursed by the club’s dues. The project lead will prepare the number of kits for all the paid Stampers on the roster and hold a teach-the-teacher lesson day before the monthly meeting. Due to the restrictions of our room, a posting goes out to all Sassy Stampers to sign up to attend class.
Each month Stampers are encouraged to bring cards with a certain color scheme to the monthly meeting. The cards received are then showcased in the Sassy Stampers’ window in the CATC. The window always looks like a professional designer had a hand in the arrangement. April Bayne and Jean Euker are our professionals when it comes to decorating our window. Cards of black and white are the colors that will grace the window in June. We hope you will take time to come see the creative and beautiful cards that adorn our window each month and are made by the Sassy Stampers club.
In case you doubt your creativity, Mary Lou Cook says, “Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.” You know, we do all those things in Sassy Stampers!

Until next month, keep on creating!
