In a burst of cheer and creativity, Kiln Krafters’ annual holiday party transformed the Ceramic Room into a hub of merriment on Dec. 15. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., many eager members poured in, igniting an atmosphere brimming with lively and contagious joy.
Before the festivities commenced, the air buzzed with excitement as several door prizes were distributed by President Cindy Parker, setting a tone of anticipation and excitement among attendees. These unexpected delights added an extra layer of cheer to the gathering, setting the stage for what promised to be an unforgettable event.
The event kicked off with a lunch, setting the stage for an afternoon of shared laughter and camaraderie. The holiday spirit soared with a quick-paced game of Guess that Holiday Song, infusing the gathering with melodies and playful competition. Laughter and friendly banter echoed through the room, adding to the fun!
However, the pinnacle of excitement was the gift exchange, with a unique twist on the classic White Elephant tradition, as participants brought ceramic-themed items to exchange. Participants brought their creative powers to play, presenting an array of ceramic-themed gifts that captivated everyone’s imagination. From handcrafted pottery pieces to new paint brushes, brush holders, and even a special ceramic-themed apron, each gift held the promise of delight.
In the true spirit of the exchange, most gifts were swiftly “snatched away” as part of the game’s spirited rules. However, the true essence lay in the joy of giving and receiving. Despite the playful tussle for coveted items, every member walked away with a great present, sparking smiles and gratitude all around.
Reflecting on the event, many members expressed heartfelt appreciation for the camaraderie and festive spirit. It was wonderful to witness everyone coming together to celebrate the season in such a vibrant and enjoyable manner.
