In a display of community spirit and generosity, members of Kiln Krafters, Happy Potters, and Sassy Stampers came together to spread joy at the Justin Community Food Pantry’s Thanksgiving giveaway.
On Nov. 14 these groups combined their artistic talents and dedication to craft over 100 ceramic items, accompanied by an impressive 160 meticulously crafted Christmas cards, courtesy of Sassy Stampers. These heartfelt gifts were intended to brighten the holiday season for those visiting the Pantry.
The event was not just about gifts. It was a celebration of unity and support for the community. The Food Pantry distributed close to 80 turkey dinners, catering to families and individuals in need. Among the diverse visitors was a young woman on the brink of starting her military service, emphasizing the broad impact of this initiative.
The Justin Community Food Pantry plays a vital role in providing essential support to residents in Justin and neighboring areas. As the holiday season approaches, their shelves need restocking, calling for donations of non-perishable food items. Those willing to contribute can conveniently drop off donations at 405 W 3rd Street, Justin, Texas 76247, in the designated wooden box on the front porch, or visit in person every Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m.
Expressing their immediate needs, the Pantry seeks canned fruits, meals (like ravioli and SpaghettiOs), meats, dry pasta, dessert mixes, soups, chili, and individual-sized snack items for children.
Moreover, the Food Pantry operates every Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. and welcomes volunteers. For those interested in contributing their time and effort to this noble cause, volunteer opportunities are available. Reach out to Cathy Sager at [email protected] to learn more about volunteering at the Food Pantry.
The collaborative efforts of Kiln Krafters, Happy Potters, and Sassy Stampers not only added a personal touch to the holiday season, but also echoed the spirit of giving that defines the Justin community. Their generosity serves as a reminder of the power of unity in uplifting those in need, especially during the festive season.
