Another great Bingo crowd
Kiwanis Club Bingo Was Another Sell-Out
The Kiwanis Club of Robson Ranch was excited to welcome 300 residents from Robson Ranch to the recent Bingo event on Sept. 14. The Kiwanis Club has a Texas Charitable Bingo license, which allows it to award cash prizes to Bingo game winners. At this recent Bingo, 24 people won cash prizes for winning in the Bingo games, and another 17 people won door prizes!
Janice Quick, a Kiwanis member and experienced Bingo caller, engages the players in each game and ensures a fun bingo experience. She works to create a variety of bingo card winning patterns to keep the games interesting. Other Kiwanis Club members support her in organizing the event.
The next Bingo date will be Oct. 30 at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. Many residents requested a nighttime Bingo, so this will be the first in 2025.
Bingo is a major fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club, and 100% of the proceeds go to local charities that support children and families in Denton County. Kiwanis members enjoy sharing a fun afternoon with their friends and neighbors! We appreciate everyone’s participation and know that it helps improve the lives of kids and families in Denton County.
Kiwanis Club Sponsors Wreaths Across America
It’s that time of year when we start our Wreaths Across America (WAA) sponsorship campaign to place wreaths for Remembering and Honoring our Veterans laid to rest. Our theme this year is “Keep Moving Forward.” This year’s National Wreaths Across America Day will be Saturday, Dec. 13. The deadline to order wreaths is Nov. 28.
Last year was the first time the Kiwanis Club of Robson Ranch participated in this program. With your support, it was an outstanding achievement. The Kiwanis Club hosts charitable events to raise funds for children and families in Denton County. When you sponsor a wreath, the Kiwanis Club receives $5 to support these organizations.
We are proud to participate in this annual event and hope that someday every veteran’s resting place will be decorated with a wreath. We ask for your help in making this happen, honoring our service members as well as others laid to rest in our national cemeteries.
For just $17 you can sponsor a wreath to be placed on a veteran’s grave during the holidays. This can be done online using the link below. In October and November we will set up at the clubhouse on specific days to accept donations.
When you order online, you can select the location where you want your wreath(s) to be sent. If you don’t specify a location, the Kiwanis Club donations will be sent to the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. You also have the option to send your donation to any cemetery that participates in WAA. Additionally, you can specify the grave if you want the wreath delivered to a particular person. If you want to send more than one wreath, you will need to place separate orders for each one.
The following link will take you directly to the Kiwanis Club of Robson Ranch page.
To order online, go to www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/TX1457P.
Mark your calendar for wreath-laying day on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m.
Please share with family and friends.
Contact us if you have additional questions. We appreciate your support.
