Art absolutely has a heart for service and is a very familiar face around Robson Ranch. It is not surprising that Kiwanis named Art Citizen of the Year. Each year this honor is bestowed upon a resident of Robson Ranch who is not a Kiwanian and is committed to serving their community.
About Art:
Art was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. He spent most of his career working for Otis Elevator Company. Before moving to Robson Ranch, he and Dianna, his wife of almost 50 years, lived in LaGrange, Kentucky. They have two daughters and five grandchildren.
The Mascieres have been active members of Immaculate Conception Church for nine years. Art was a member of the Denton Planning and Zoning Board. He served as commissioner on the board of the Robson Ranch Softball League. Presently, Art serves on the Robson Ranch ALC.
Art now devotes his time to school visits and nursing home visits with his therapy dog Cody. Art and Cody have made over 600 visits to various facilities in the last five years. Cody was found wandering around Michelle Way. Art and Dianne took him in, and a whole new adventure started. Upon realizing that Cody was very receptive to training, Art bought several dog-training books and they were off. Cody earned his Canine Good Citizen badge. They are regular visitors at Good Samaritan Health Care, Good Samaritan Assisted Living, Select Rehab Hospital, Autumn Leaves, Sterling House, Borman Elementary and Evers Park Elementary.
Art and Cody are touching lives daily through their visits and programs. Art has a love of people and a gift of giving to the Robson Community as well as the surrounding community. Art is very deserving of the Citizen of the Year Award at Robson Ranch and it is certainly our honor to recognize him. Please share your congratulations.
