Kiwanis Club Welcomes Patriot PAWS Presentation

Guest speakers at a recent Kiwanis Club Robson Ranch general meeting were Paula Sterling and Sharon Scott, volunteer ambassadors from Patriot PAWS Service Dogs.

The mission of Patriot PAWS Service Dogs is to train and provide service dogs of the highest quality at no cost to disabled American veterans and others who suffer from mobile disabilities in order to help restore their physical and emotional independence.

Patriot PAWS Service Dogs intends to build partnerships with state and community organizations to help develop and support this goal.

The club members were treated to a demonstration of how the dogs are trained over a two-year period. Full-time puppy raisers live and work with a service dog in training in their homes for this extended period of time.

The club provided a donation to Patriot PAWS.
