It takes a lot of work to keep our Wildhorse Golf Course in tip-top condition. One necessary procedure is called aerating. A special machine punches holes into the fairway and the greens, making them temporarily tough to golf on, but in the long run, oh, what a fabulous course!
Since our course was getting that special TLC, the Wildhorse Lady Niners hit the road and golfed at Grapevine Golf Course on a recent picture-perfect morning. Seventy-six women turned out to participate in a day perfectly planned by Gayle Lee, Diane Boyne, Tara Riley, and Carroll French. All participants received a goodie bag and a round of golf. Lunch on the deck followed a laughter-filled nine holes. Winners for the day turned out to be members of our play day committee: Staci Brown, Barbara Byrd, Debbie Andrews, and Lucia Bone. Apparently, not having to worry about the details of our regular play paid off for this foursome!
