Patti Smith
With the new year comes change for your Living Well Committee. We are sorry to be losing some of our members after their many years of service to the community: Joyce Ambre, chairperson; Susan Wells, secretary; and Gil Clifton, walks organizer. We will miss them all and want to thank them for their hard work and dedication to the committee.
Present committee members are Chair: Marcia Elving, Vice-chair and Farmers Market: Liz Dinkins, Workshops: Scott Barringer, Olympics Chair: Debbie Dodge, Publicity: Patti Smith, All Walks: Fred van Naerssen, Website: Gail Kohn, and Box Gardens: Diane Bevins. The two new members are Lorraine Dallas and Dana Lodwick.
All residents are invited to attend a committee meeting if interested in learning more about how the committee supports the community. The committee meets the first Tuesday of every month at 3 p.m. in the clubhouse.
One of the ways we support the community is through our monthly speaker series. Scott Barringer has worked on securing a good selection of presentations for this new year. On Jan. 9 Attorney Travis Weaver returned to discuss wills and trusts.
On Feb. 6 at 1 p.m., Dr. Daniel Clearfield from Motion in Medicine will present information on caring for your joints. This is a “must attend” presentation!
On March 6 at 1 p.m., Dana Long with Medical City Health of Denton will be speaking on Healthy Aging and Nutrition. Also in March, plan to attend the annual Robson Ranch Health Fair on March 22 and 23.
Mark your calendars now to attend these vitally important presentations. Also, be sure to check out our website at www.rrlwc.weebly.com for more information on these events and additional updates on committee activities throughout the year.
Monitor your health in 2025 by having your blood pressure checked at the Pinnacle building every Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.
Please continue to support our fabulous vendors at the Friday Market and shop in your own backyard. Ordering by phone or email is always an option!
