Robert Shaw in Bobby Darin concert
Friday, August 14, the HOA presented the Lonely Street Productions Bobby Darin “Dream Lover” Concert. The performance was a big hit with 328 tickets sold. Robert shared much of the history of Bobby Darin before each song. The band members each played solos and certainly provided great backup for Robert. With each song from Dream Lover, Splish Splash, Can’t Take My Eye Off You, to Beyond the Sea the audience enjoyed the stories, music and songs. After a standing ovation Robert returned to the stage with a few one-line verses of songs but finally ended the night with the all-time favorite Mack The Knife.
Robert was able to talk with and personally thank residents at the end of the evening. Several residents asked if he could return next week. Lonely Street Productions has several different shows, and they will definitely be back…just not next week!
