Riding Unlimited, located just up the road from Robson Ranch in Ponder, is looking for volunteers to help in their equine-assisted therapy program. Volunteers support the riders by walking with the horse as the leader or providing either physical or verbal support as a side walker. No experience necessary; we will train you for the job. Must be able to walk in a soft arena for about 45 minutes, once a week. We have openings on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Tuesday 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Wednesday 9:00–11:00 a.m. and again 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.; Thursday 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The session is 10 weeks long meeting once a week. You do not have to work in all of the classes. You choose the one that fits your schedule best.
Not into horses? We still have plenty of opportunities; gardeners can help take care of the flowers or plant more for beautification of the property. Handy with tools? We have many projects you can help with. Like talking to people while supporting a great cause? How about joining one of our fundraising committees? If you have the time, we have a need.
For more information you can call 940-479-2016. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
