We must be doing something right to attract so many creative and talented quilters. Edwina Gibson joined our group just last year, but she obviously had a head start in sewing and quilting. Not only has she sewn all of her life, she has made all of her clothes since junior high and even designed and made her three daughters’ wedding dresses.
Edwina retired as a director of a major corporation, decided to work with stained glass, small woodworking projects, making furniture, and then decided it was too hot in the garage. She saw a quilt pattern and thought, “I can’t sing, can’t spell, but I can sew,” and figured she could do that. She joined a quilt group, and everything fell into place to be a quilter.
