There was a full house at the Robson Ranch Mentors Open House. About 35 people turned out to learn how they can help children in the Denton ISD. There were opportunities to sign up that day for the various needs in the school system. Courtney Martin, with Denton ISD, spoke about the need for volunteers throughout the district. While most of the Robson Mentors have a weekly commitment to mentor for one hour one-on-one with a student, other opportunities exist. These include helping in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program, dance class and woodworking.
If you were not able to attend the open house and would like to mentor children this year, contact Susan Parker at [email protected]. It is truly a rewarding experience! No teaching experience is required.
