The Robson Ranch Movie Lovers Group had a number of regular members missing this month so it opened up the opportunity for some new guests to attend. This month the group reviewed A Dog’s Purpose and Hidden Figures. Most of the group saw one or two of the selected movies. As each person gave comments on the movies it was evident that both movies received two thumbs up from the group. Hidden Figures may have had some slow spots and was not totally realistic in some of the ways they did computations, but it was agreed it was a great inspirational movie for our children and minorities. A Dog’s Purpose was a different movie that has never been approached this way. A dog passes away many times and comes back as another dog. This led to some in the group skipping the movie because they could not face man’s best friend dying, and others shedding a tear in the theatre no matter how much they tried not to. Even with some of the sad parts the movie was a two thumbs up, especially for dog lovers! Next month is the big event for the group as all gather in their best dress to watch the Academy Awards. Everyone was given the marching orders to see as many of the movies up for an Academy Award as possible.
