Robson Ranch pickleballers sweep the Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in the Lewisville Tourney held March 26. Rod Hill and Patrick Claytor earned Gold, Mike Conley and Terry Scholze won Silver and Warren Williamson and Fred Thompson brought home the Bronze in the ImD 4.0/4.0+ grouping.
It was an all Robson Ranch event in semifinal play-in and final. Mike and Terry narrowly defeated Warren and Fred in the play-in as both the semi-finals/finals match became marathon matches. Rod and Patrick finally prevailed in the finals after having overcome early deficits in both games.
While matches in all other divisions had ended by shortly after one o’clock, our semi-final and final matches ran up against the three o’clock hour.
Gary San Miguel and Jim Propes rounded out the Robson Ranch contingent at the games.
All pickleballers at the ranch should give big high-fives to our winners. Many of the other teams from Rowlet, Mckinney and Lewisville could not help but mention how impressed they were with our program. Jokingly, one team added that we should not be invited back next year.
