The Rockin’ Red Ranchers kicked off the new year with their annual breakfast hosted by Queen Carol Cieslik and her court. Approximately 40 ladies dressed in comfy PJs enjoyed a buffet of delicious foods and refreshments as they teamed up to plan their events for the year. As customary, Queen Carol recognized previous club Queens who received a round of applause for their contribution to the club.
After introducing her 2019 board, Carol announced that Janice Forthman will serve as Vice-Queen, preparing to assume her role as Queen in 2020.
Janice is well qualified for leadership after retiring as a Verizon sales operations manager. Janice looks forward to retirement life with the Rockin’ Red Ranchers, helping to coordinate monthly events throughout the year. Janice said, “What do you say when you’re asked to lead a group of great women who like to laugh and have fun? I said yes!”
Prior to living at Robson, Janice lived in Trophy Club TX and before that in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Virginia. Janice has three children and three grandchildren who all live in Texas. Janice enjoys life at Robson Ranch including the Villa Book club and playing Mah Jongg. She participates in community outreach programs at Fellowship UMC in Trophy Club.
