Sounds of laughter and cheering were heard coming from the Robson swimming pool on Friday, July 10, as the Red Hat Ranchers celebrated at their annual pool party. True to Red Hat tradition the ladies came attired in various styles of swimming attire, both sedate and sensuous. The hostesses, Mala Bowdouris, Carol Solow and Rosemary Weinstein, did a fabulous job of seeing that the ladies were entertained like royalty! Mala, who was in charge of games, came up with five pool and outdoor games to keep the group busy. Much encouragement was given to each contestant as they tossed balls, jarts, bolo golf and tried to stand a bottle upright using a stick and a string. Many cheers were heard when someone finally accomplished the feats. Rosemary did a splendid job with prizes and decorations. Carol saw that we had a wonderful lunch delivered from the grill and that delicious dessert was served to all. Many thanks to these ladies for providing another fun event for the members to enjoy. A recent Hoot was a trip to the UNT fashion department and another Hoot with lunch and bowling on July 16. It’s hard to keep up with these girls because they keep just trying to have fun!
