Gail Hanna
On May 26 the Robson Ranch Republican Club was proud to host a Back the Blue appreciation reception to honor the lives and sacrifices of law enforcement officers who have fallen, those who have retired, and those still serving. As this was our first gathering, we were gratified to have a good turnout to acknowledge the men and women who have risked their lives to keep us safe and have faithfully fulfilled their duties to our country. This strong showing of support is part of what makes Robson Ranch a wonderful community to live in.
The reception began with a warm welcome from Tim McCormick, president of the Robson Ranch Republican Club. Wayne Hall then stepped up to lead us in a heartfelt prayer. Ray Hanna then introduced seven former law enforcement officers who reside in our community and were able to join us. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to hear some of their stories. Additionally, several of the attendees spoke up about their personal experiences with family members who had been or still are part of the law enforcement community. This reminded all of us about the importance of building community support for our local police officers and standing up to defend their honor when it becomes necessary.
Wrapping up the event, attendees joined in a toast, led by Web Bliss, to honor all law enforcement officers. Their bravery has kept us safe, and their service has helped make our community better. We are grateful for their dedication.
