Over 40 Robson Ranch Road Runners attended West Side Story at the historic Denton Community Theatre on August 13. This yearly event for Road Runners is always a must attend for theatre lovers. The beloved 1957 musical is based on the Shakespearean romance Romeo and Juliet. Tony, an Anglo New Yorker, falls in love with Puerto Rican immigrant Maria. Their two cultures collide after tensions have long simmered. Those attending the performance had nothing but the most positive comments. A large, talented cast filled the stage with song and action. Arturo Ortega, who directs the Robson Ranch Choir, was the music director of a 32-piece orchestra! The music was second to none performed by top musicians at UNT, TWU and the Denton region.
