Marion Napurano
On Oct. 10, 38 members of the Robson Ranch Catholic Community met at the CATC building for our monthly gathering. The meeting opened in prayer by our president Joan Bridges. Announcements were made regarding our Christmas Outreach, Support Our Troops (SOT) Auction, and our 2024 Dinner Group.
Marge Lane spoke of the many donations she has already received from individuals, as well as numerous scarves donated by the Yarn Divas of Robson Ranch. The outpouring of donations has far surpassed what has been donated in past years. We give our heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed to this worthy cause.
Pat Langa was unable to attend; however, Marion Napurano brought the SOT Auction basket for all to see what Pat has already purchased with donations for our contribution to the SOT Auction. So far, the basket has Our Daily Red wine, Christmas pasta, a lovely book, a nativity snow globe, nativity ornament, and a jar full of Christmas postage stamps. Several members who had not had the opportunity to contribute did so at the meeting.
Joan then introduced our speaker for the evening, Father Raymond McDaniel. Father McDaniel spoke on the “Pearl of Great Price: One Person’s Journey to the Fullness of Faith,” the importance of Eucharistic Adoration, and its impact on his conversion. Father McDaniel, a convert to Catholicism, entered the seminary in 2000. Seven years later, he earned a Masters of Divinity and also in theology. Father McDaniel was ordained a priest 15 years ago and has been Pastor of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Flower Mound for more than nine years.
The Robson Ranch Catholic Community will meet again on Nov. 14 in the Indian Paintbrush Room 103 of the CATC. Our speaker will be Dennis Pettit who will be speaking on “Why Do Catholic Bibles Have Extra Books? How do we know what books belong?
Please join us for another informative and faith-filled evening.
