Robson Ranch Community Choir Revives the ’70s

Frances Hackley, Publicity Chair

A revival indeed is coming to Robson Ranch! You will definitely be remiss if you miss this one folks! The Robson Ranch Community Choir is reviving the music of the 70s. This concert was put on pause last March when the pandemic paused everything. That 70’s Show will resume its rightful place in time here at Robson and be performed on Saturday, May 29, at 7 p.m., and again on May 30, at 4 p.m.

The Robson Ranch Community Choir has retrieved their voices from storage and are rejuvenated, renewed, and rekindled in their rapture for singing once again. You also can participate in the reclaiming of the 70s vibe. All patrons are invited to be part of the experience by wearing your favorite 70s attire. Find your high waisted bell bottoms, leisure suits, bubble tops, peasant dresses, jumpsuits, and granny boots. Don’t forget your blue eyeshadow with your biggest afro, Farah Faucet, or Dorothy Hamill hairdo. Make sure you hold it all down with a good spray of Aquanet! With everyone in their 70s clothing, the stage will be all set to sit back and enjoy reclaiming the sounds of the 70s. Sit back and enjoy some of the best songs ever penned. Songs that will recapture, reclaim, and rekindle the melodic artful 70s tunes we all love. How can you forget Stevie Wonder’s song to his baby girl, “Isn’t She Lovely” or Carole King’s song to her friend James Taylor, “You’ve Gotta Friend?” Not to mention, songs to lift and inspire like, “Lean On Me” by Bill Withers, “You Are So Beautiful” by Joe Cocker, and “Sing” by the Carpenters. All these great songs and more by such artists as Aretha Franklin, The Bee Gees, The Eagles, and Chicago, will be performed by your very own Robson Ranch Community Choir directed by Dr. Arturo Ortega, and accompanied by Paul Lees.

Come and “Dig It” listening to your neighbors making “Rad” music while you are driven to “Boogie Down.” This concert will be the first since the pandemic shut life as we knew it down. Don’t miss the chance to come and help us all in restoring life back to pre-pandemic, with a jubilant revival celebrating and enjoying great music. This concert will be “Off the Hook”!
