The day before the 4th of July, members of the choir worked diligently on their float. The high winds twisted and turned the decorations the whole time. Wow, it was finally complete! The trailer did not fit in the garage, oh well. One member offered bungee cords and a tarp was provided. We felt great with our success; it really looked nice. Everyone went home, and you all know what happened next! Rain and winds began and so did the texting. Next morning we all rushed to see the damage; I could not look! Yes, it was wet and ripped, but most of it was still on the trailer. I did wonder how we were going to remove it now that it was stuck like glue to the trailer. We did not care. We ladies, did I forget to mention it was all ladies? We had somewhere to be, and I mean pronto. Yes we arrived with the Old Girl in tow, and she shined and displayed her patriotic pride! We enjoyed every minute and were proud to represent the Robson Ranch Music Club and all its members. It was a great day after all, and I think the old girl loved showing off. Thanks to all who came out to celebrate.
